I just filled up with the new Shell 93 octane gas and I have been getting 3+ miles per gallon more. I haven't changed my driving habits or anything else except for the gas. If this keeps up, I'll be using it all of the time.

Wow!! That's amazing. Thanks for sharing!
Great, the closest one to me is 93 miles away.
What's new about it? Been using that for years...

Seriously doubt it's 3 mpg (10-15% increase is pretty unbelievable)...but it's said to be worth something.
I notice a .05mpg increase with it over other Top Tier fuels. (especially Costco)

Hmmm, is it Ethanol free? That could explain some of the gain.

There is a lot of talk on the web, but in Canada it is ethanol free. In the USA it seems to be region specific.
rps wroteIn BC I found gas station (Esso) selling 94 sans ethanol, and in Boulder NV. the Rebel gas station selling (competition) 100 octane at $7.99 a gallon.I just filled up with the new Shell 93 octane gas and I have been getting 3+ miles per gallon more. Yes, at least in some States we're getting 92 octane.
